Jersey Township, Licking County · January 9, 2026 - 8:00 a.m.
Trustee Wetzel called the meeting to order at 8:00 a.m., and led the Pledge of Allegiance. Mr. Platte called the roll and it was confirmed that Trustees Wetzel, Pieper and Fry were in attendance.
Trustee Pieper moved to approve the agenda as presented. Trustee Fry seconded the motion and with no further discussion, the motion was approved via unanimous roll call vote.
Trustee Wetzel introduced New Business. Mr. Platte presented quotes for the purchase of a new pickup truck. He researched prices of ¾ ton four-wheel drive trucks in the Ford, Chevrolet, and Dodge makes. Staff is recommending the township purchase a truck from Coughlin Chevrolet in Pataskala. Mr. Platte also discussed the need to amend the 2026 Appropriations in order to allow for the increase in health insurance premiums for 2026.
Trustee Wetzel moved to approve Resolution #26-01-09-01 a Resolution Authorizing the Purchase of a 2026 Pickup truck. Trustee Fry seconded the motion and with no further discussion, the motion was approved via unanimous roll call vote.
Trustee Wetzel moved to approve Resolution #26-01-09-02 a Resolution to Amend the 2026 Permanent Appropriations. Trustee Fry seconded the motion and with no further discussion, the motion was approved via unanimous roll call vote.
Trustee Wetzel asked for any Public Comments. There were no public comments.
Trustee Wetzel asked for Trustee Comments. No Trustee comments were provided.
Trustee Wetzel adjourned the meeting without objection at 8:16 a.m.
